JSC ETC GET has opened a School of Simulation at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute

On October 3, 2023, the grand opening of the School of Simulation of JSC ETC GET in the Moscow Energy Institute (MPEI) took place. The School of Simulation is designed to promote development of talented young people - senior students of MPEI who are interested in professional development in the Russian field of mathematical simulation, to train personnel to work with the domestic technology of simulator production created and used by JSC ETC GET for 30 years.

“Our students have the opportunity to solve important practical tasks in parallel with training. JSC ETC GET software products allow to put into practice the use of modern technologies for creating digital models, twins, as well as simulators. Having mastered these products, students will be able to engage in the most popular area in modern energy, namely the digitalization of energy,” noted Alexey Dedov, Director of the Institute of Thermal and Nuclear Energy of NRU MPEI.

“The Moscow Power Engineering Institute is an alma mater for many of our colleagues in the Engineering and Technology Center GET who appreciate and honor the traditions of their university. Today, before our eyes, a solid foundation is being created for the future generation of young it-engineers who are ready to apply the acquired skills in creating the latest technologies, to popularize the image of a young professional with wide digital competencies,” said Alexey Kovalevich, Managing Director of JSC ETC GET.

This summer MPEI teachers passed a two-week internship at JSC ETC GET, where they got acquainted with the key teaching tool for future students of the School of Simulation - the model-oriented environment of design and mathematical simulation REPEAT. The representatives of the Engineering and Technology Center GET will develop methodological materials for the institute to improve the educational process.

The school of simulation in MPEI will become the fifth in the growing network of engineering and mathematical schools of JSC ETC GET: in two years, the School of Simulation has solemnly opened its doors in the country’s leading educational institutions - Kazan State Power Engineering University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Don State Technical University and Kuban State Technological University.

For reference:

The “School of Simulation” is implemented within the framework of the “Simulation Factory” industry project. The project is aimed at training young specialists with an appropriate set of competencies for work in the field of simulation in nuclear energy.

The main goal of the project is to form a permanent candidate pool from among students and graduates of supporting universities in the regions of the Russian Federation who have successfully passed a joint training program for the implementation of international projects of JSC ETC GET.
