JSC ETC GET developed tasks for the hackathon at A.N. Kosygin Russian State University

17.01.2024

The IV intra-university engineering hackathon "Digital Technologies-2024" takes place at Kosygin Russian State University from December 11, 2023 to March 14, 2024.

The purpose of the event is to create conditions for students to immerse themselves in project activities, to train their skills to invent, design, program and implement the developed projects, to execute projects as startups.

The "Digital Technologies-2024" hackathon is a team competition between university students interested in engineering creativity, programming and invention. The tasks will require real engineering and creativity, cross-curricular knowledge, creativity and the ability to present their solutions.

JSC ETC GET in partnership with A.N. Kosygin Russian State University   has developed a set of cases in digital modeling, including tasks to create mathematical models based on the company's own platform - REPEAT. While gaining the first experience of modeling on REPEAT, students open wide opportunities of the domestic digital modeling sphere - in future they will be able to develop models of power facilities and processes, create digital twins, conduct virtual tests of designed equipment and gain wide digital competencies.

Based on the assessment of the finished projects, the distinguished groups will be awarded certificates, valuable gifts, as well as the opportunity to undergo an internship in GET LAB (part of JSC ETC GET).

The qualifying phase runs to February 9th and will conclude with video presentations for projects. Projects are to be publicized and winners will be selected in the spring of 2024.

The winner is the team with the highest score according to the following criteria: justification of the business idea, actuality and compliance with the chosen topic, implementation of the device or software product, economic justification of the obtained solution and the level of project presentation.
