Rusatom Service JSC ensures uninterrupted operation of Russian-designed NPPs abroad

Rusatom Service JSC successfully fulfills its obligations under contracts with foreign partners under the conditions of strict measures preventing the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Thus, in March 2020, Rusatom Service delivered spare parts for scheduled preventive maintenance of a turbine generator for power unit No. 5 of Kozloduy NPP (Bulgaria). This will make it possible to carry out scheduled equipment repairs in accordance with the required safety standards and on time, without disrupting the electricity production schedules. As part of the ongoing maintenance of the Tianwan NPP (China), the Rusatom Service team organized the provision of consulting services in a remote format. Working groups were created in each area: mechanics, control and management systems, industrial television, metal and weld control, etc. to coordinate interaction and provide timely services. In March, a project on technical support for an Indian customer at the Kudankulam NPP was successfully completed. Preventive maintenance of power unit 2 was completed ahead of schedule, and the unit was successfully put into operation.
