Rusatom Service JSC becomes Russia’s first developer of small HPP Internet calculator
The team of Rusatom Service JSC successfully implements digital transformation in the development of the newest business areas.
Using the digital technology potential, the company has developed a digital product in small hydropower - a SHPP Calculator - for the first time in the Russian market.
The product is available for free use on the official website of Rusatom Service JSC. The principle of the calculator is simple: the calculation requires only the flow rate, the head, the electricity sales tariff and other data. After the system processes the data, the user will be provided with information on a recommended type of plant, type of turbine, construction period, revenue and payback period - all the things that will allow choosing an ideal SHPP model.
“Our team tried to make the most functional and versatile product for quick calculation of the parameters of a small hydropower plant. Any user - be it a student, an engineer, or an interested investor - can easily and quickly assess the potential of his hydropower project using our developed calculator algorithms,” said Andrey Chernykh, the product developer and Chief Expert of the Hydropower Group of Rusatom Service JSC.
