“Rusatom Service” JSC meets with the MEPhI scholarship program winners

On November 11, 2022, the Nuclear Infrastructure (NI) team of Rusatom Service JSC held a meeting with the participants of the annual scholarship program for students from the Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute (MEPhI), which was continued in September 2022. Based on the results of the competition, 8 students from 7 countries were selected to participate in the program for the academic year 2022-2023: Bolivia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

The program was approved by Rusatom Service JSC and NRNU MEPhI back in 2018 in order to stimulate educational and research activities, develop cooperation with partner countries of Rosatom SC and assist in the development of human resources potential of the nuclear industry. Over the 3 years of implementation, more than 40 international students from different countries took part in the program. It is important to note that after graduation the students who participate in the program apply the acquired knowledge and competencies in employment, as well as in work in industry organizations in their home countries.

Vera Tolcheeva, Head of Nuclear Infrastructure Expert Department, told the students about the activities of the company, the major projects of NR Department, noting that by obtaining practical skills, learning the IAEA documents, national regulations and the work of key nuclear stakeholders through active involvement in projects young specialists will get an opportunity to plan and build their career in the nuclear industry, to fulfill their potential.

During the meeting Anita Dhar, Manager of Nuclear Infrastructure Expert Department, set out the challenges of the program in 2022-2023 to the students , giving a detailed account of the industry subproject implemented by Rosatom State Corporation, which aims to promote the employment of foreign graduates of Russian nuclear universities in key nuclear infrastructure organizations of Rosatom SC partner countries.

Rusatom Service JSC team hopes that this cooperation will bring fruitful results both for the company and for the future professional development of the students.
