Inauguration of Center for Mathematical Modeling at the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University
The new academic year at the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University (ISPU) has begun on a pleasantly: the University has received two brand-new computer classrooms. The computers were delivered by GET Engineering and Technology Center, JSC, (ETC GET JSC).
Computer classes were created as a part of the Center for Mathematical Modeling establishment at ISPU. Undergraduate and postgraduate students will get a unique opportunity to develop individual components of a complex object model and improve their education. In the long term, their adaptation time for the workplace environment will be greatly reduced.
“High-level specialists in nuclear physics, thermal physics, automation and programming are of primary importance. That is why it is of particular value for us to directly participate in support and development of mathematical education by creating modern comfortable conditions for students to develop necessary skills of mathematical modeling, support students' project activities and acceptance of Rosatom key values: efficiency, one team, respect, responsibility for the result, striving to be one step ahead,” Aleksey Kovalevich, ETC GET JSC Managing Director,said in his address to the ISPU students.
The computer hardware has the SAPHIRE software installed. Being the main tool of graphic and automated development of mathematical models calculated in real time,SAPHIR is a brand’s own software, developed by ETC GET JSCtalents.
SAPHIRE also has a number of additional useful features, such as displaying and managing 3D scenes with OpenGL graphics, creating vector graphics with gradient and transparency, and also displaying and managing video and audio stream.
Students of computer classes now have new outlook and knowledge ahead, modern technologies in simulation engineering to master, work with a unique modeling platform.
