ETC GET Simulators for Belarusian NPP: Ready to Go!
On September 16, 2021, manufacturer's integrated tests of a local simulator for central control room (CCR) were finished on the Belarusian NPP premises. A positive decision was taken after the tests: the simulator fully complies with the client's requirements and is to be transferred to plant pilot operation! Local simulators were manufactured by experienced engineers of ETC GET, a world’s leader in simulator production.
CCR local simulator for Belarusian NPP training center is a software and hardware modeling complex for professional training of CCR operating personnel and RPA (Relay Protection and Automatics) maintenance personnel. It is also aimed at acquiring practical skills of CCR operational switchovers and equipment state control during operation.
For example, the simulator is to efficiently solve a number of important tasks, such as initial training of CCR personnel; practicing of safe, correct, and accident-free operation of NPP electric equipment, drilling of accident-elimination skills and skills for eliminating deviation from electric equipment normal operation; drilling of establishing the causes for electric equipment failures and accidents, using standard systems for emergency registration; and exercising of operational talks holding, just to name a few.
Using a local simulator within training allows improving professional training of operating personnel, hence, boosting safety and economic efficiency of Belarusian NPP.
