AtomIntelMash LLC took part in the conference "Extreme Robotics 2023"

07.12.2023

The 34th International Scientific and Technical Conference "Extreme Robotics 2023" was held in St. Petersburg on November 23-24. The organizer was the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "Central Research and Development Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics" (SRC RF CNII RTK).

The conference business program traditionally included a wide range of issues: from theoretical design problems to practical application of existing robotic complexes to work in extreme conditions and emergency situations, including counter-terrorism, firefighting, defense tasks, as well as space exploration and the world ocean depths, medicine and nuclear power.

In the session "Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Extreme Robotics" Amir Khusnutdinov, Technical Director of AtomIntelMash LLC, made a report on “What kind of projects can be used to “push” the next technological leap in robotization?”.

"The main trend and the main limitation for the mass application of robots is not mechanics and electronics, but computer vision technologies that cannot yet work on a "human" level. A breakthrough in these technologies will provide a new process revolution, i.e. the replacement of man in all professions with manual operations" - said the speaker.

For reference:

The main activity of AtomIntelMash LLC (a subsidiary of Rusatom Service JSC) is the design and manufacture of robotic complexes and other non– standard equipment for enterprises of the nuclear industry and beyond.
