REPRESENTATIVES OF UZATOM AGENCY, BELENERGO SPA AND BELENERGOREMNALADKA JSC VISITED LNPP-2

Rusatom Service JSC with the assistance of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC arranged a technical tour to the Leningrad NPP-2 for representatives of Uzatom agency, Belenergo SPA and Belenergoremnaladka JSC. The tour lasted from September 30 to October 4.
This period was chosen deliberately since Unit No. 5 of LNPP-2 is right now shut down for planned preventive maintenance and, therefore, is available for delegation visits.
When arranging the tour, Rusatom Service JSC aspired to demonstrate various approaches to organizing and performing maintenance and repair works on NPP equipment, which is one of the Company’s focus areas.
As part of the visit to the plant, the delegation attended the turbine hall where they had an opportunity to find out how the repair works of turbine and electric generator high-pressure cylinder are carried out.
Technical tour participants remained satisfied with how well-organized the visit was. Summarizing the results of the tour, they also emphasized the importance of planning and preparing preventive maintenance and quality performance of the works for achieving the key objective for safe and reliable operation of NPP. At its end, Rusatom Service JSC and LNPP-2 expressed their willingness to continue the cooperation and exchange knowledge in this area.
