Rosatom and Sibagro JSC agreed to build a biogas plant in Buryatia. The agreement was signed within the framework of ATOMEXPO-2024 forum.

Rusatom Service JSC (an enterprise of the Electric Power Division of Rosatom State Corporation) and Siberian Agrarian Group JSC (Sibagro JSC) consolidated the basis for cooperation in the field of non-nuclear energy on March 26 within the framework of the XIII ATOMEXPO-2024 International Forum in Sochi.

The document was signed on behalf of Rusatom Service JSC by Evgeny Salkov, General Director, and on behalf of Sibagro JSC by Sergey Ilinykh, General Director.

The Parties concluded the Agreement of Intention for the construction of a biogas plant on the territory of an agricultural complex located in the Republic of Buryatia. The arrangements stipulated in the agreement include the provision of a land and raw materials for electricity generation to Sibagro JSC, as well as the construction of a biogas plant by Rusatom Service JSC.

The development and signing of the final project implementation agreement is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

The core of the Electric Power Division of Rosatom State Corporation is Rosenergoatom Concern JSC, the country's largest generating company and a leader in the production of green electricity.
