29.01.2020

On January 28, a business breakfast dedicated to the development of nuclear infrastructure in partner countries was held in the assembly hall of ROSATOM. The event was organized by JSC Rusatom Service, moderated by Yulia Chernyakhovskaya, Deputy General Director for Nuclear Infrastructure of JSC Rusatom Service. The business breakfast was attended by Alexey Likhachev, General Director of Rosatom State Corporation, Alexey Ferapontov, Deputy Head of Rostekhnadzor, heads of enterprises and divisions of Rosatom, representatives of the nuclear infrastructure expert community participating in projects for the assessment and development of national nuclear infrastructures in Bolivia, Zambia, Egypt and Bangladesh. At the meeting, they discussed the tasks facing Rosatom as a supplier of nuclear technologies and ways to solve them within the framework of activities on nuclear infrastructure. The task of establishing sectoral and interdepartmental interaction of enterprises was recognized as one of the main ones. In particular, Alexey Likhachev noted the importance of teamwork, both within the industry and in partner countries. Alexey Ferapontov spoke about the coordinated work of Rostechnadzor experts, the quarterly meetings of the Governing Council, where issues of nuclear infrastructure are discussed, noting that its creation is a common task of the Russian Federation for foreign customers, and it ensures the further safety of the development of nuclear power in the country. The event participants also discussed new products, including an optimized floating power unit. President of ChU Rusatom - International Network Vadim Titov stressed the importance of public acceptance of the development of nuclear technologies when implementing projects abroad. “This is the cornerstone of project implementation. Our work under the umbrella of nuclear infrastructure allows us to solve and remove in advance a number of problems in the area of public acceptability and motivate the customer to invest in nuclear infrastructure activities not only meaningfully, but also resourcefully, ”he said. Grigory Sosnin, Vice President - Director of the El-Dabaa NPP Construction Project of ASE EC JSC also gave several examples on this issue: “One of our cases showed that an unambiguous interpretation of license documentation is needed, since there is a discrepancy among all participants in our contract. Otherwise, you may find yourself in a trap that will affect the timing of the project. Experience has shown that nuclear infrastructure needed to be addressed before the construction project began. ” General Director of JSC Rusatom Service Evgeny Salkov answered a number of questions: “The expert community, which has existed for more than two years, is developing steadily. Together with Tatiana Terentyeva, HR Director of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, we have drawn up tools to engage and motivate industry experts. We have a separate type of career - an expert career, in our local regulatory, industry documents it is laid down that an expert can take a managerial position. Motivation tools have also been developed. This is, firstly, the participation of experts in projects, the opportunity to represent Rosatom in countries that have embarked on the path of developing peaceful nuclear technologies. Secondly, it is an opportunity to pursue a career in international organizations. Thirdly, this is material motivation, which is actively used. In addition, a process model for the participation of experts in projects has been created: we issue an order for the State Corporation, where the team is formed. The head of the organization nominates experts from his organization and agrees in advance that the expert will devote a certain amount of time to the project on nuclear infrastructure. To develop the competencies of experts, a portal of specialized documents has been created, experts are also sent for training to international organizations, share their experiences and impressions in the quarterly newsletter. " It was noted that such events bring closer together, make the Rosatom team more united. Business breakfasts will be held on an annual basis, which was supported by Alexei Likhachev. “We must meet periodically, strengthen the ranks and attract experts,” he urged. *** JSC Rusatom Service is part of the electric power division of ROSATOM.
