MEPhI hosted the Digital Rosatom Day dedicated to robotics
“Digital Rosatom Day at MEPhI: Robotics” was held on March 6 at the core higher education institution of the State Corporation.
More than 100 students from engineering, digital and natural scientific professions participated in the event. Speakers at the Digital Rosatom Day shared knowledge about modern robotics challenges, development of robotic applications, possibilities of using robotization for medical purposes, as well as dynamic balance support system and simulator control using gestures.
Systemic work began at Rosatom in 2024 to develop the Robotics area, with Rusatom Service acting as an integrator, having defended a roadmap on this topic. Nowadays, robotics is being developed in several divisions, and the most large-scale projects are in “Breakthrough” and Dukhov Automatics Research Institute (VNIIA).
Dmitry Kainov, Commercial Director of Robotics, took part in the Digital Rosatom Day on behalf of Rusatom Service JSC. The speaker devoted his report to the current trends and challenges of domestic robotics, describing the Robotics direction at Rosatom, as well as the strategic focus and key process vectors of its development.
“Robotics is one of Rosatom's strategically new business areas. Our country is now at a stage preceding a significant breakthrough in the application of robotics solutions in all industries, including the nuclear industry. It should be noted that students, and soon graduates of leading higher education institutions, will be at the center of the development and implementation of these technologies” - said Dmitry Kainov.
